Five tips for visiting Stockholm during winter
Stockholm is known for its beauty. The many islands and parks live up to the reputation during the summer and most visitors come to the Swedish capital from May to September. However, Stockholm can also be stunning during the winter months and here are a few tips for activities.
Our top five Stockholm tips:
1. A stroll on the ice
During a cold winter, it is popular to walk on the ice on the south side of Södermalm and Kungsholmen. There is a path to follow and on a sunny day, you will find many locals enjoying the view and the weather.
2. Skate at Kungsträdgården
If you are in the central area of Stockholm, potter down to Kungsträdgården where you will find a small ice skating rink. Underneath the fairy lights and with music streaming from the speakers you can skate hand in hand with someone special.
3. Discover Old Town
If you are a history buff, a visit to Old Town is a must. Go on a guided tour or explore on your own. It is easy to see the charm of this neighbourhood with its narrow alleys and century old houses. Here you will also find The Royal Palace, The Nobel Museum and The Stockholm Cathedral.
4. Coffee at Rosendal
Rosendals' Garden Foundation is a beautiful place to visit all year round. Even though the gardens might be covered in snow there are still the hothouses to visit. The café (also located in the hothouse) serves outstanding treats and is worth a visit.
5. Hop on a boat
Boat sightseeing is perfectly doable during the winter. Let Stromma guide you along the city's quays, out to and around the islands of Fjäderholmarna. M/S Angantyr is an actual icebreaker so if there is ice the boat will break through it on your journey, which is truly special!

ABOUT PAGE - Health and beauty
Beauty is so much more than what catches your eye. True beauty catches your soul.
True beauty comes from the inside, from the heart! When we are happy and at peace, it will reflect on the outside. This is what I always try to convey to my students, to embrace your natural beauty. Be the best you can be. You are unique so don't compare yourself to others. Bring out what is best in you. When you do this, truly embrace your own special and unique kind of beauty, that is when you will feel, look, and be beautiful!
You are beautiful if you embrace YOURSELF! There is nothing more beautiful than a happy and confident person. Embracing is the starting point and what keeps us grounded and balanced. From there my goal is to encourage you to live each day a little better, by empowering you to become the best version of yourself. Whether it is changing your perspective, pushing your limits, or improving your habits.

Unemployed single mother hits the jackpot
Michelle Hansen 32, a single mother from Kent was recently laid off. With no job, Michelle has spent the last few months looking after her four years old daughter. Suddenly her life took an unexpected change.
Last Tuesday morning Michelle had just taken her daughter to school and was having a coffee. She went online to see if any job opportunities had come up. She then decided to wash the dishes. This was when it suddenly happened.
When done, Michelle returned to her computer and saw that it was flashing with a text saying she had won a huge sum of money. Thinking it was some kind of virus Michelle closed the computer and made a call to her mother instead.
While she was on the line to her mum she kept getting incoming calls. Thinking it might be about a job she hung up on her mum to accept the other call. This turned out to be the call that changed Michelle’s life forever.
The caller came from a manager at a well-known casino, he told her that she had indeed won the incredible sum flashing on her screen. Michelle’s head started spinning thinking it could not be true. GUIDE - Content marketing
Blogging for newbies - a practical guide
Ok peeps, you've heard me bang on about blogging for a while and some of you are doing a great job and some of you need a little help. So here it comes.
Before we get into how I want to start with the why. It's fairly simple, content is king! The more relevant and fresh content you have on your sites the more authority the site gets from search engines (Let's just go with Google from here on) and therefore it ranks higher in SERP - search engine result page.
Google ranks well-written information pages higher than sales pages. Most sites are selling something and are therefore sales pages. A good way to boost content, and in the long run get better rankings is to focus on well-written information in the blog.
These tips are from the perspective of a budding blogger. If you are experienced, see this as a recap. Also, this post is quite useful.
What to think about when blogging
A few keywords (pun intended) to take away:
Why - I think I answered that question above. But again to fill your site with relevant and high ranking content that will be picked up by Google.
Who - Despite the why, you are not writing for Google, but real readers and more so a target audience. A target audience is often quite broad, so try to develop a few personas and write for them. More on personas here.
What - You do not need to write about your amazing products all the time. Find other relevant things and get an idea of what your readers are searching for, and try to help them. Think about the three categories: news - what's happening, inspiration - fun things and tips, offer - your products.
Relevance - This is very important for SEO purposes. You need to keep the text relevant for your readers, answer the questions they are looking for. Google can detect if a site is relevant to the search made.
SEO - Keywords used in your headings and throughout your piece of text but avoid keyword stuffing. Combine separate words and long-tail keywords such as a whole search phrase.
Metadata - this is often forgotten and has a huge impact on SEO!
Meta titles should always be relevant to what the reader will find on the page and contain a keyword. The meta description should describe the content of the page. Length: Title 65 characters, Description 155 characters.
Continuity - Once you start there is no turning back… no, not really, but it is important to keep posting at the same interval, once a week at least. My best tip here is to use a Content Calendar.
Write posts in advance according to recurring themes, seasons, holidays or other things and then slot them out. This way you are never without an idea of what to write and have a pre-written post to publish.
Social media - Make sure you add social sharing buttons to your post. Also
link to your posts in your social media channels and your newsletter when applicable. This is a good way to fill your social media with relevant content.
Quality - If you write poor content, readers are not going to continue to read. Google can also detect texts with poor grammar or poor relevance and rank them lower. Think about structure and grammar and take time to proofread.
Length - The length of your post should correspond to the topic you are writing about and what your readers want to get out of it. There is no right or wrong. A news article can be short and to the point, while an interview could be longer and more in-depth.
There you go, the why, who, what, how, when and where to blog. Just start by taking one paragraph and list what you can do. Then move on to the next and start mapping out your blogging strategy. Remember it does not have to be perfect, it just needs to be out there.
Happy blogging!
